Engravings of the new state heraldic shield and the border designs were cut by James Adams, who also printed these notes. The plate for the bundle of wheat on the back was reused from the 1776 emission. These notes were printed on thick paper containing blue thread and mica flakes, as was used for Continental Currency. Signed by Abraham Robinson and John Jones. A very faint horizontal center fold is about all that separates this note from the gem grade. The paper surfaces are crisp and fresh and the margins broad. This note grades Choice Crisp Almost Uncirculated. $495.00 plus $7.00 shipping & handling. |
